Our People

One of the fundamental requirements of the AusSAFE Consulting team, is that each member should have tertiary qualifications in their chosen field of expertise, and possess a high standard of education and understanding in Occupational Health and Safety and Risk Management. Many of our consultants have attained post-graduate qualifications, including Masters and PhDs, in their chosen areas of speciality.

 

We actively encourage and support the continuing professional development of our staff, through enrolment in further education, training courses and attendance and participation at health and safety industry seminars and symposia. Additionally, some of our consultants hold official roles and are actively involved in the management of health and safety professional associations.   

We firmly believe our stringent team requirements ensure we continue to lead the field in our profession and can offer best practice professional Occupational Health and Safety services.


Trevor Love
Principal
Trevor Love has 28 years experience as a safety professional, and is the Principal Partner of AusSAFE. Trevor established the business in 1987 and has overseen the expansion of the company to include offices in 3 States and a team of 20 consultants. He has been providing expert health and safety advice in his capacity as Principal for over 22 years and his reputation and standing in the health and safety profession is well recognised. Trevor is a Fellow of the Safety Institute of Australia and has been involved at a senior executive level with Institute since 1989. As well as maintaining an active role with relevant academic institutions in the field since 1987, including the University of Qld and Qld University of Technology.

Ralph Willson
Managing Partner
Ralph is the Managing Partner of AusSAFE Consulting and has gained extensive experience in Occupational Health and Safety and Risk Management over the last 24 years. Ralph has extensive experience with organisations coming from electrical, service, manufacturing, construction and government business sectors and undertakes work in all facets of OHS management. He maintains an active consulting role involving auditing, training, policy and procedures development, accident investigation and report writing.

Julian Bedford
NSW Operations Manager & Senior Consultant
Julian heads up our Sydney office. He has over 18 years experience in OHS and risk management. He has worked for regulators in the UK and NSW and has extensive experience in management systems and rail safety. He is particularly knowledgeable in the area of self insurance in NSW, gained from the two years he spent with WorkCover's Audit Management Team.
